As a resident of South Oxnard, I have noticed that our community lacks many of the basic services that are essential for a safe and livable environment. For example, there is a lack of sufficient public lighting in many areas, which can make it difficult for people to navigate the streets at night. Similarly, the absence of sidewalks in certain parts of the neighborhood makes it difficult for people to walk or bike safely. The bad road conditions not only make it hard for vehicles to navigate through but also cause damage to cars and trucks that pass through. Additionally, the alleyways often go without proper clean-up services, which can lead to garbage and debris accumulating and creating unsanitary conditions.
